I tried three different brands of gluten-free : Ian’s, Aleia’s, and Japanese Style by San-J. All three brands are widely available online and in natural food stores. Here’s how they stacked up:

Ian’s Gluten Free  Bread Crumbs: These had a nice flavor and a good crispy texture. They worked well in both the chicken Parmesan and the tempura recipes I tested.

Aleia’s Gluten Free Classic Breadcrumbs: These were also flavorful and had a nice crispy texture. They held up well in the chicken Parmesan recipe but didn’t quite have the same crunch as Ian’s in the tempura recipe.
